“MIS WHERE THE STARS SHINE ON FRIDAY NIGHTS!”
Madison International Speedway: The Friday Night Tradition The Friday night tradition is back…bigger and better than ever! “We are expecting big things this year. Don’t just take my word for it. You have to come out and experience MIS.”
It won’t just be a night out…live racing is an experience you will never forget,” said promoter Steve Einhaus. Madison International Speedway truly features something for everyone: An outstanding facility with seating for 10,000 and free parking; four divisions of exciting weekly live racing and several special events; A family friendly environment featuring affordable prices, activities for the kids, and first class concessions; and a racing tradition second to none in the Midwest.
Madison International Speedway is located in the beautiful countryside of the Town of Rutland just ten miles south of Madison. This half-mile paved oval, constructed in 1969, was built for speed as Wisconsin’s fastest times ever on a half-mile have been set at MIS. Grandstand seating is available for over 10,000 fans with free parking. Four weekly racing divisions will take to the track: Super Late Models, ASA Late Models, Midwest / Mid Am Trucks, and Area Sportsman.
The season opener will be Sunday, May 1 with regular Friday night racing commencing on May 6. The season continues through September 9 when the Hooters Pro Cup Series comes to MIS. Madison International Speedway has something for every member of your family. Ticket prices are very affordable with children under eleven admitted free…how many sports venues can say that?
MIS is also a great place for food and beverage as we offer just about anything you can imagine from hamburgers to cheese curds to chicken drummies to nachos and much more. Souvenirs…we have a wide variety of both M
IS and NASCAR memorabilia on sale at our large souvenir stand. Children of all ages will enjoy the MIS Kids Club in 2005 with weekly contests and prizes, rides in the pace truck, junior flag stand, and our very own bounce house. Adults will also enjoy weekly games and contests with some great prizes given away during the season. Oh, and don’t forget the fireworks!!! MIS has established itself as home of one of the top fireworks displays in the Midwest and the tradition continues in 2005 with two big shows: June 24 and September 9.
How about the MIS mystique? A quick look at the list of past champions speaks for itself: Short track legends such as Dick Trickle, Joe Shear, Johnny Ziegler, and Tom Reffner; NASCAR stars Matt Kenseth and Travis Kvapil all have been crowned track champions. The best in the Midwest truly call MIS their home track!
We can honestly say the stars come out every Friday night at Madison International Speedway and you need to be there to see them. If this sounds to good to be true then make plans to come out to MIS to experience the thrill of live racing. Watching racing on television is great…sitting trackside at MIS is incredible. MIS…You just have to be there!
